The People's Business (IV)
“WHAT THE FUCK!” Wren’s shoulders shook as she looked at the article about her in The People’s Business. She wasn’t bothered much by the in depth part about her weed smoking in high school, a lot of people knew about that already. What did bother her was the bit about her and Leaf. Sure she’d kissed his arm when he asked her what a kiss was, but that was platonic and informative. The article claimed she did much more than just that. Her face grew red as the words filtered through her brain, words of secret lust and hidden touches, lips touching when they’d never touched before.
“Why, who would do this to us? Who hates us that much?” she asked thin air. Thin air didn’t respond, as it was just air who’d successfully dieted. Her pale, trembling hand flicked the page over, scoffing. This was a clearly blatant lie, everyone knew it was Jen who’d kissed Ms. Glip, not her. But there the poorly doctored photo was, the two&
